You have a gift.

 Let's unwrap it.

You've spent years singing for auditions, for audiences, for everyone but yourself. Somewhere along the way, the joy got buried under the pressure to prove, to perfect, to produce.

This is where you come back to it — and to yourself.

You're in the   right place if

You were once a singer — training, performing, chasing your dreams — and somewhere along the way, you stepped away.

You still sing in your car, around the house, to your kids — because it never fully left you.

You're a performer who's ready to stop performing for everyone else and start singing for and as yourself.

You're at a new chapter — life looks different now — and you're ready to rewrite what being a creative means now.

You don't just want voice lessons. You want the whole thing: the freedom, the joy, the version of yourself that sings without apology.

Where vocal health
meets mental health

Technique matters — deeply. But what makes a singer truly come alive goes beyond just technique. It's the relationship between your mind, your body, and your voice. It's permission. It's trust. It's the moment you stop performing and start being.

At Your Authentic Voice, we work on all of it — the breath, the resonance, the range — and the stories you've been telling yourself about what you can and can't do. We work through the fear of visibility, the pressure of excellence, the grief of a creative self that got set aside.

And then we watch it bloom.

1.
POUR IN

Nurture your voice and your creative spirit. Build the relationship with your instrument — and with yourself.

2.
OVERFLOW

Your creative cup fills & spills into every corner of your life — your work, your life, your sense of self.

3.
POUR OUT

Take risks. Be seen. Make value-aligned art on your own terms. Feel like an artist again. This is what you came for.

THE FRAMEWORK

CLIENT JOURNEYS

To put it simply, Lauren is redefining the “voice lesson” for those of us who came to dread the very idea of it. Her incredibly mindful and holistic approach creates a safe space where frustration and thoughts of “I can’t do that” are lovingly rewritten by curious exploration and low-stakes experimentation. The lessons are more about healing your relationship with singing and what it means to you, and giving yourself permission to do less and let it feel good — the latter is just an inevitable, wonderful result.

In only three lessons, I've already noticed an improvement in my vocal range and have begun to develop a healthier relationship with my voice. Lauren provides an unparalleled holistic approach — and is successful in helping her students heal their relationship with their voice and get out of their mental ruts.

There have been times in my life where singing has felt almost meditative, where I feel relaxed and free in my body and singing just feels good. I hadn't experienced that in a long time, but since working with Lauren I've started to experience that same sort of feeling while singing again. Lauren has helped me find the joy in singing again that brought me to musical theatre in the first place. I feel like I have more options when singing now - almost like I upgraded from the 8 color crayon box to the 24 color crayon box with way more shades and choices available. I feel more in tune with my instrument. Lauren is a fantastic teacher and a lovely person to work with.

My "WHY"

I know what it's like to be a singer who's lost the spark.

I did everything the "right" way — trained seriously, moved to New York City at 22 with a Broadway agent and a dream I'd been building my whole life. And then the industry showed me what it really cost. The relentless pressure to prove yourself. The grind of auditioning in rooms that made you feel simultaneously too much and not enough. The way chasing a dream can quietly hollow you out when it stops being yours.

So I made a different choice. I came home to Texas with a new dream — a creative life that felt both secure and deeply fulfilling. I built a business on my own terms. I'm developing my own show. I'm selective about the stage work I take, and I have more freedom, clarity, and joy in my voice than I ever had in my early career.

That's what I want for you.

Not the hustle. Not the version of yourself that sings for everyone else's approval. The version that sings because it's home — boldly, joyfully, without apology. I started Your Authentic Voice because I believe every singer deserves a space that honors their whole self: the technique and the trust, the ambition and the grief, the voice they have and the one they're still becoming.

I'm Lauren Urso Gray — professional vocalist, actor, voice teacher, and creative coach based in Dallas, TX. I work with singers and creatives who are ready to go all in on themselves. If that's you, I'd love to meet you.
